Most people associate healing with an illness, yet allopathic or traditional medicine rarely practice healing; rather they are quite effective at symptom relief. True healing takes place with the restoration of balance in the energy system.
Thus healing is not only confined to a physical illness but also includes areas that are negatively affecting us, like patterns of behavior or thought. Thinking of healing a habit or a belief system somehow makes it seem more achievable and permanent. Just that perception shifts the effectiveness of the change whether it's physical or otherwise.
The human energy field is the matrix upon which the cells of the physical body grow. It is the template of the physical body vibrating at various frequencies. It is also the vehicle for the "mind-body" connection. It's directly connected with health and illness. Based upon my experience as a healer and a teacher, I can tell you that anything that happens in the physical body will happen in the pattern of the energy fields first.
So the energy field precedes the physical body. It sets the foundation for the physical body, and anything that goes wrong in the energy field will eventually make its way into the physical body.
The physical body is ultimately controlled by the mind.
You see the Mind is made up of 4 parts
1. Super Conscious- Your connection to Universal Energy, Spirit, Intuition
2. Conscious - Your free will, thoughts, choice, reasoning
3. Subconscious - Your beliefs, programmed thoughts, habits
4. Physical - Your actions, things, results
Your Super Conscious...if you listen to it....will try and give you direction, this is your connection with the Divine, the conscious mind is where you choose to put your attention, and the subconscious mind is where all of your programming lives. This programming your belief systems, fears, values, and assumptions can be positive or negative. Studies have shown that your beliefs around health and wellness, even down to the age that you believe you will live to, have a very powerful effect on your physical experience.
The brain is command central, taking the lead in your Mind-Dance, the interplay of these 4 components. It's possible to train your brain to dance the steps to where you want to go. The science that is backing this up is neuro-plasticity or the ability of the brain to adapt, at any age.
Healing the whole person is coordinated effort, dealing with the actual physical symptoms as well as the underlying energetic blocks or disruptions. This is makes caring for the energetic system a vital part of any wellness regime. You can do this by visiting a practitioner or with self care techniques such as chakra cleansing, or meditation to name a few.
