Global Consumer Attitudes to Nutrition Information on Food Labels

16.01.2007 at 21:31 - Category: Sport Medicine

Do consumers around the world know how much they should be eating? Do they know the energy content of the foods they eat? Do consumers read the nutrition information on label, do they understand what it means, and do they use it when choosing foods?

This 15 minute round table debate was recorded at the First World Congress of Public Health Nutrition and moderated by Dr. E. Tee Siong, President of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia and Dr. Jonathan Back, Strategy and Analysis Unit, DG SANCO, European Commission, Brussels.
It is available here as a podcast.
